Requirements

Inspiration

Where did I get the idea for the app? I've played with a team in the Astro Soccer League for over 10 years now. On occasion I've had to lookup the Astro.ie web-site on my iPhone/iPod touch to check on my team. It can be a little awkward browsing the site to find what you want on the small screen of the iPhone/iPod touch. So I decided to see if I could develop an app that would download a teams league table, fixtures and results onto the iPhone/iPod touch to browse the data.

Q: How much does the app cost?
Astro will be available in the iTunes App Store for the special introductory price of € 1.59.
Q: How do I save a Division?
To save a division to your My Teams page:
- Tap the Leagues tab
- Select a Sport (Rugby or Soccer)
- Select a Location
- Select a Gender (ladies or Mens)
- Select a Type (11-a-side, 6-a-side, etc)
- Select a Division to download the list of teams
- To Save to My Teams, click to add (+) button to download the Division data
- The Division now appears in your My Teams list.
Q: Why can't I email Astro.ie?
In order to send an email to Astro.ie, via the Astro app, you must have an email account configured on your iPhone/iPod touch. Email accounts can be configured in 'Settings' -> 'Mail, Contacts, Calendars' -> 'Add Account...'
Q: Why don't you have pitch directions in the app?
Directions to all Astro Sport League venues will be added in a later release.
Q: How do I change the default map location?
To change the default map location:
- Go to Settings (More tab)
- Select a new location from the list
- Tap the Save button
- Tap OK on the Alert
- The Default Map Location has now been changed
Q: How to I enable/disable auto refresh?
To enable/disable auto refresh:
- Go to Settings (More tab)
- To enable, slide the switch to ON.
- To disable, slide the switch to OFF.
- Tap the Save button
- Tap OK on the Alert
